And we like it because it seems quite simple... until the moment you really try to answer it.

What is a «full» massage, really?

Is it the one that travels across the whole body, from feet to shoulders? The one that lasts the longest? The one that works more on the tense areas? The one that alternates different pressures and different sensations? Or simply the one that gives you, in the end, that rather rare feeling of having completely switched off for a moment?

The answer is not the same for everyone.

You can easily have a full-body massage and still be left wanting a bit more. Conversely, a shorter or more targeted session can sometimes feel much more complete because the rhythm, pressure and massage technique matched exactly what you were in the mood for that day.

There is also a difference between a «full» massage in the technical sense and a massage that provides a sense of a complete experience. In the former case, we think of the different parts of the body that are massaged. In the latter, we are talking more about continuity, presence, relaxation and the ability to stop thinking about what is going on outside for a few moments.

And then there is the duration. Thirty minutes, an hour, ninety minutes or two hours: it is obviously not the same experience. More time allows you to go slower, to leave more room for certain areas, to vary the rhythm more and to build a more progressive session. But duration alone does not necessarily make the quality of the massage.

At Bogards, we therefore prefer to turn the question slightly on its head.

Rather than looking for what would be, in absolute terms, «the most complete massage», it is better to ask yourself: what would make you feel, at the end of your session, that you had truly received the massage you needed?

If you are still hesitating, you can compare our various massages and their durations to see what best fits the moment you want to give yourself.

C’est la première question que nous avons reçue pour cet espace.
